What Made you Smile/What Ticked you off Today?

Yeah it is dumb and pointless.

I assume the broken part is plastic? Why don't you try melting it back together?

Time to make it bionic. If that's a shaft at the bottom, might need to find some metal tubing to work in there.
Hmmm... that's actually not a bad idea. I'd need to cut a notch in the tubing so that I could get the wires running up the shaft, but that should be doable. I'll have to take measurements and see if I can get something rigid of the appropriate size.

I had a broken PC Wingman joystick given to me a long time ago. The plastic bit for the hat switch had broken. I took a long skinny bolt, lopped the head off, then mounted an aluminum square in the middle to press the internal switches, and slipped the rubber cap back on. Worked great and there was no way it could break again. If you can replace the shaft with something that withstand the shearing stress and attach it elsewhere where it will be ok, hopefully it will be better than before. Heck, even a dowel piece if it's thick enough might work.

Smile:

I believe I've mentioned that my wife and I own walkie talkies so we can relay messages when I'm on the third floor and she is on the first. At around 1:30am we were woken by chatter coming from one of the walkie talkies. "Someone is in the house!" she screamed.

As I thought, it was just someone who had picked up our channel, but boy did it creep her out.

Smile:

inXile just inked a deal with EA so that instead of releasing Wasteland bundled with Wasteland 2 like how they did with Bard's Tale Trilogy in the new Bard's Tale, now they can release Wasteland separate on Steam and GOG, and release it to backers before Wasteland 2 ships.

:| I just hurt my back squatting at the gym today. It's weird because it hurts in the middle of my back not my lower back like you'd expect. I wasn't even squatting at the time I had just unracked the bar and was about to squat down. I felt something kind of snap/pop as I tried to adjust my stance a bit. I then did my over head presses after I finished my squats which didn't help things at all. I wasn't really able to finish my whole workout but I did do all the main compounds for the day so I guess it isn't that bad.

I really hope I didn't screw my body up and that I can go back to lifting Monday.

:D I don't think I've said it but I finally have a reason to be going to the gym besides looking better naked, I'm going to try and become a firefighter. With my emt background and my physical ability I should be a good candidate since firefighters here are more first responders and don't actually deal with fires that much.

:? I'm still a white male though so that sort of evens out the whole emt and physical ability thing though.
