It doesn't feel the same as actually playing it on the NES though.

It isn't supposed to. If you want the NES version play the NES version.

I'm looking forward to playing this, but I'd rather them not turn it into a trend.

There's also the Castle of Illusion remaster coming out and it looks half decent.

I still think Bionic Commando: Rearmed set the standard for this sort of thing. If you're going to do it, make it a new enough experience that it's worth playing.

sigh. I don't mean to get off on a rant here, but I am so pissed about the so-called "physical release" of DuckTales. Why... why on earth would they even bother to make a physical game case, and go through the $/effort involved in putting a commemorative pin inside that case... but no physical GAME????

I was really pleased when Capcom put out that Digital Collection on 360. So much so that I was actually re-purchasing most of the games included on it, just to have them on a physical disc. Was really hoping that that would only be Volume 1 of an on-going series.

Later this year we're getting Capcom Essentials or something like that - a physical release on PS3 - but it's like 5 games that were already released physically bundled with Mega Man 10. So stupid. Yet sadly I will be buying it just to have MM10 physically. Again, this means I'll be buying MM10 a second time.

But what we really need is Capcom (and other publishers!) putting out physical releases of their PSN/XBLA games. Why isn't this more common? The games they're selling for $10 digitally, they could be grouping 3 together and selling for $40.

/rant.

I was really hoping when Mega Man 10 came out they'd do some kind of 9/10 $20-30 physical release. That Mega Man 9 press kit cartridge with the disc inside was such a cruel tease of what could have been.

especially since the disc was not the game.

I think getting a box is better than nothing. That's really all that shows on a display case anyway, but yeah it would be nice to get a disc too
