So you win the lottery.

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

I'd pay for college in full.
Pay of my dad's loans for his Burger King's and Little Censers' (I see him go ape shit trying to pay those off)
Buy a E350, GTR and a Lancer Evo
Invest Invest Invest (Specifically a indie gaming studio)
and ya. I'm still in high school so I don't have bills and responsibility's.

Edit: How the hell did I forget this. Buy a ton games.

And where are you going to get your stuff (clothing/food/cable/etc.) that doesn't have a tax cost?

You buy a private island for $5millionusd, and you're tapped out within a year. Possibly in months.

If you want to poop in the ocean, hunt your own food and go Swiss Family Robinson style, sure. That might be possible. But a self sustainable house in itself can cost millions.
You could just go there on vacation. You don't have to live there forever.

Pay for college. Buy a nice house. Buy a nice car. Put the rest in a savings account.

You guys are no fun. Where's the imagination? Where's the crazy hookers and blow responses? Where's the fly to Vegas and place it all on a single number on the roulette table? Where's the plastic surgery to make you look like someone else just to ruin them?

You know I would totally take a million in 20's, climb a building and dump it off just to see all the chaos below.

You can't take it with you and I'd rather have some hilarious memories about doing some crazy things just because I had a bunch of money.

I can totally see that point of view actually. This isn't money you've worked hard to save up or something, it's just pure luck that you managed to get it. Spend a year or so doing crazy shit for a while just to say you did, and then merrily go back to your old life as if nothing had ever happened.

I can see some of the appeal in doing that.

I would much rather stretch it out as long as possible so I can be lazy.

Having a kid changes your priorities a bit, and I would much prefer for us to live comfortably knowing we have a nice big safety net to fall into. Even then though, we'd probably take a vacation to Japan every so often. I'd like see some Japanese school girls the Studio Ghibli Museum.

Depends what you "previous" life was like for you. If you lived in a shithole barely scraping by, than you don't want to do that. ttytt i can't imagine anyone no mater if they make 25k or 150k wanting to blow away a lottery win of 5 mil. IMO only an idiot would do that. No offence. Living lavishly and blowing money away is 2 different things.
