No Audio on Podcast
I am getting no audio after the intro music on any of Racketboy's podcast. I've tried downloading them and using different players to no avail. Any idea what might be the problem?

makes no sense to me as the whole file is one MP3. Are you playing the flash version in the browser? Maybe it's a flash or browser related problem?Sano wrote:I am getting no audio after the intro music on any of Racketboy's podcast. That's bizarre. Only thing I could imagine is that it's not downloading the whole thing or something for you.
(I did just notice that the "DOWNLOAD" link on Episode 62 links to Episode 60 though, might want to get someone fixing that)

Still doesn't explain the problem.

Can you play other MP3s? Maybe your codecs are hosed and need to be reinstalled.

I can play MP3s without a problem. Might be a codec problem, but I don't know. Do the podcast just use standard MP3 codecs?Hobie-wan wrote:Can you play other MP3s? Maybe your codecs are hosed and need to be reinstalled.

Re: No Audio on Podcast
MP3 is a codec. Though maybe VBR versus not. I'm behind on them so not sure on recent ones. Actualy they might be mono. Do you have fancy fake surround processing going on? My computer speakers have a fake surround button that I use when playing music since when I'm at work I'm turned around. Some game surround sound is quiet or nonexistent if I forget and leave that on. Does your player visual effects indicate it is playing anything?

Hmm, I do use the fancy X-Fi settings I have. Ill try turning them off.
Edit: Well, on or off, the audio seems to work now. Having gone to take a nap and turning off my computer. I turned it back on and the podcast audio works correctly now. Thanks for your help/info though ^_^

They're all 128kbps CBR and stereo (though it doesn't really matter as usually the only time the channels are different is during the intro/outro music)
