I wouldn't say that it has gotten that bad. I get annoyed when any sort of opinion is taken on as truth, so it can be safe to say that I am annoyed all of the timeweasels wrote: has it gotten that bad? i have been gone for a while and just logged on again today, so im very out of the loop. if it's truly like this I would be disappointed considering i joined this forum not only due to my love of all things retro gaming, but also the community that was always very adult about such conversations.
There have just recently been a few people trying to stir up trouble, which I ignore and just go about my business.

I was actually trying to straight up manually count them on the member list but there you go I guess. I found 50 that start with "retro", I guess the other 9 just have "retro" elsewhere in the name.dsheinem wrote:59AppleQueso wrote: How many users do we have with "retro" in their name anyway?
Either that or my counting is way off.

It took you five posts to even acknowledge that you shouldn't have called her a bitch, and even then it was an offhand "I overreacted, but she still sucked" rather than a real apology for your poor word choice. If your first post in response to people jumping on you was "You guys are right, it was unfair to call her that. I was frustrated that she didn't have the knowledge I would expect her to have, but that doesn't excuse my language," then this would have disappeared 5 pages ago.oxymoron wrote:Which may i say was blown out of proportion.AppleQueso wrote:...oh right and this thing with oxymoron's rather... unfortunate word choice

That leaves off the 3 who have "retro" in the middle of their names.dsheinem wrote:search = retro*AppleQueso wrote:I was actually trying to straight up manually count them on the member list but there you go I guess. I have no issues with you. Just stating I don't like the use of that word the way you used it. If you said "She didn't know about the Gameboy, well sonovabitch" I'd be right there with you. But calling her a bitch simply isn't something a mature person would say.oxymoron wrote: So your issue with my statement is more oriented towards me calling her a bitch than my expectation of her knowledge, correct?
