PS3 downloads are slow. PS3 only supports wireless G. I think the WiiU has N. surprisingly the PS4 will only have N as well. Should have given it AC. Not sure on Xbox One.

I only get about 1MBps for PS3 downloads at home and at friends places over wireless. Though my home connection is capable of 6+MBps. I get those speeds frequently on my laptop.

Yea, PS3 downloads are slow for me as well. It even takes a few seconds to get my trophy list synced up with the server.

Everything downloads and installs automatically in the background now so that's not a big deal to me.

So did anyone pick up Pikmin 3?

I gave in and purchased it as well as Zombi U ($19.99 new at Target). I'm looking forward to playing it this week after I wrap up Sleeping Dogs. :)

Can any one tell me if the WiiU has the weakest launch game titles(or number) since the NES days for Nintendo?
I think the 64 had the weakest launch or some drought the first year? Not sure..

If so, why do you think this happened? Especially that the Wii sold like crazy and developers would usually be expecting to come jumping in exciting to release titles for the next Nintendo release. Also Nintendo had a lot of time to think about what to release for next gen. because areas of improvements on the Wii(Better motion controls, graphics, online network) is very clear on the opposite of ps3/360 which were probably thinking "What should we do next generation?"

@ZenErik

Do you get 1 Mbps as in 100kbps or 1,000kbps?
because I noticed ISP when they advertise Mbps its usually Kbps in downloads, its not getting 1mb per second literally. If that was the case then you can download a 1GB game in 16m with just 1mbps connection. Not bad...

@Kdub

The problem is that Youtube's website is basically an HTML5 version of the app...thats how it is on my iphone at least. Plus browsing with a console is a pain , not sure about the WiiU in particular but history says all browsing devices other than a computer is a pain to do including hand-helds, smart tvs, and ps3s (maybe current smartphone and tablets can get an exception)

The N64 launched with two titles, doesn't get much weaker than that IMO. Luckily one of the titles was Mario 64, which was mind-blowing at the time, but the next game was still like a month or more away, I believe it was Killer Instinct.

I said MBps that is megabytes per second. PS3 usually gets 1MBps over wireless or 8 megabits per second. My connection at home is capable of over 6MBps. To be exact, my down speeds are 50+ megabits per second.

Got it?

Browsing on the WiiU is snappy and easy especially while you use the GamePad. Videos play back fast and can be watched on just the pad or on your TV. Bonus: Switching the video to your TV and still surfing the web with the GamePad. What isn't to like?

That might help but people will really be missing out by skipping Nintendoland. NL is so much better than Wii Sports ever was. Oh well, I guess.
They could just pack in a download voucher in the bundle. The ZombiU bundle had NintendoLand included this way.
I wasn't aware that the ZombiU bundle included Nintendoland. That would have been a nice bundle to have but it wasn't available at launch in the US.
