Okay so about an hour in. Game is brilliant. For sure. Love it.

Fucking hard.

Haha. I've died countless times already. I'm still on the second trial where you have to recruit demons. I have one of them. Just one. Rough.

EDIT: Nevermind. Just recruited 3 more. 8)

Yeah, the game is ridiculously difficult at the start but eases up a bit once you get a team. Then it shifts to just regular hard.

yeah now that I've recruited more demons, the ball-crushing difficulty has eased up. I'm not dying every few battles anymore. I've got like 6 or so demons now. I'm lvl 7 at this point w/ most demons between 4-6. Def enjoying this one big time.

I have one major issue with SMTIV. Still love the game. But the amount of research required to even find/do all the challenge quests I need to do to complete a certain main story quest is not at all intuitive. Pre-Internet age I'd have to wander around for hours and hours and possibly never even come across these challenge quests still before giving up.

Anyway, gripes aside, still liking the game a lot. Lvl93.

I have one like that right now, where I've READ IT IN THE STRATEGY GUIDE and still can't find it. :x

I'm 3+ hrs in (except more, cuz of re-loading saves) now. I'm on the quest where you're racing to do three side-quests.

Just want to point out how awesome that strategy guide is. So far I've only used it to read all the basics of gameplay, and then I did refer to a map early on. But man the quality of that book is so awesome - just really worth the game selling for $10 more than other 3DS games.

Finally got that quest over with. Should be in the last 5-10 hours of the game now. I think? Guess I'll find out soon. My goal to complete it before Otakon (Thursday through Sunday) should be manageable. :D

Indeed

I bought a 3dsxl at sears. They have a points program. Whenever you buy stuff, those points become money on a future purchase.

There was a special weekend deal, and I got a bonus! :D

I posted it over on the look what I found thread.
