I LOVE this game! I think it looks fantastic. So much background detail and amazing animations. Only thing I don't like about it is the relentless increase in rank.

I really, really like this game too (great pick pierrot). *gasp* I might even have time to play it this month too. Definitely one of my Saturn favorites.

the Saturn? Yeah deleted that thread. No idea dude. I unhooked it completely. Then plugged everything back in and it booted up fine. Really odd. Must've been a loose wire or something.

Anyway, I'm very pleased with this score. Only my third run this month and it is leaps and bounds better than my high score from back when I had started a thread for Shienryu. I think in the time since I've learned to understand Rank much better, which helps in a game like this.

I think the theory behind Shienryu's rank system is that the programmer responsible for it had a Really Bad Day and hated everyone alive so took it out on anyone who might play this game.

put it another run last night, but was just feeling 'off'... not that I did terrible - still hit 2.5M, but I just beefed it and lost two lives early enough to throw me off. Decided it wasn't a good night for shmupping... too sleepy-eyed, couldn't concentrate.
