Why a band with Obituary's kind of name recognition needs a kickstarter is beyond me. I'm sure plenty of labels would be willing to front them the cash. I guess they just don't want to deal with label politics or something?

Those rewards are kinda crummy. You have to spend $30 before you even get a CD (and some other junk), and $75 if you want Vinyl (and some other junk). I imagine if they had say, an $11 tier just for a CD and a $25 or something tier just for vinyl they'd raise more money more quickly.

I have zero interest in a goddamn Obituary hat.

That high for donations? I know people pay some insane prices for demos and such, but I'd never pay that for a vinyl. Hell, I don't think I've ever payed over $35 for one, and that was a whole fancy special edition deal.

Agreed, fuck that. You could probably pick up their entire discography off amazon for the price of one vinyl.

I'm listening to Elvenking's The Winter Wake. It's okay. I think I still like Wyrd the most... and then Two Tragedy Poets.

Panda makeup! :P

That's hilarious

EDIT: looks like Obituary hit their goal. Cool I guess. I'm not crazy about their newer stuff, but I'll be sure to give it a listen when it's done.
