I prefer SMT, but both are great 3DS games. :) Ive put almost 60 hours into SMTIV in two weeks. Still haven't finished FE:A.. But that one is fun too. I wish I played FE:A on a higher difficulty to start with.

I think my tough decision is broken down as such:

SMT IV - seems like a really unique game, and I have played very little of the series, and it has a really pretty LE.

FEA - I just love strategy games, and as far as reviews go this is being hailed as one of the greatest portable SRPG's ever.

So it's kind of like... I think maybe it's a sure thing that I'll enjoy FEA. But w/ SMT IV I'd hate to miss out on a unique game that I *could* potentially really enjoy. I'd also hate it if the LE's sold out.

Seriously y'all, buy my stuff.

Little low on $ right now though (buy my stuff!) and I'm also having a tough time deciding if I should purchase this or Fire Emblem Awakening first (IE: which one will I want to sink serious time into sooner?).
Is there any possible way you can get both? If you buy and register both on Club Nintendo you'll get $30 in eShop credit that you can use for whatever you like. If you can't get both for whatever reason, I'd pick SMT IV up first. The first print LE won't be around forever and I've seen Fire Emblem on sale numerous times for $30, so it doesn't seem to be becoming quite a rarity like previous FE games.

of course I *could* get both. It's more I don't *want* to spend $90 for two games when I know I probably won't touch one of them for months. The eShop bonus is cool, but really doesn't appeal to me all that much. I'm in no rush to download anything from the eShop.

Both games have some story-related DLC (optional, but cool) that you could use the eShop bonus on.

The eShop credit could just sit there until you decide there's something you want.

You really can't go wrong with either game honestly, but like I said the LE for this game is only going to be around for so long.

Yeah, I started on Lunatic and it's been my only experience with the game and I really liked it. It forces you to play the game the way it is intended.

The only thing about FE:A that irritates me, and the main reason that I have stopped playing it is that there is no effective way to build up renown, which makes me wonder why they even put it in the game. It would take eons to unlock the final renown bonus when nothing in the game gives you big renown bonuses

I'm on the neutral path, and have been doing some challenge quests before I take the time to figure out how to get the main quest started again. Also been spending a lot of money on filling out my compendium.
