Is your kid a boy or a girl? Because you're only a terrible parent if your kid is a girl and you don't refer to her as a princess.KitKatCara wrote:Apparently I'm a bad parent for not calling my kid a princess. I'm horrible!

I must be a pretty terrible parent because my little girl likes bugs, video games, and Godzilla. I wonder where I went wrong.MrPopo wrote:Is your kid a boy or a girl? Hey now, no rule that says princesses can't like bugs, video games, and Godzilla.KitKatCara wrote:I must be a pretty terrible parent because my little girl likes bugs, video games, and Godzilla. True, but It's not something Jinx and I want to use. I stated this on facebook, and someone outright said that I was a failure as a parent for not using that word in particular, as if I didn't call my daughter anything positive, then tried to argue with me about it when I said it was just a personal preference.MrPopo wrote: Hey now, no rule that says princesses can't like bugs, video games, and Godzilla.
The whole princess this is something that Jinx and I just don't care for. The loads of pink, Disney movies, etc. isn't something that appeals to us, so we stay away from it. The fact that someone got offended over a parenting decision that Jinx and I made together made me laugh.

If I had a daughter I'd refer to her as "queen" instead of "princess."
