I find it intriguing. I found it mint condition and complete for $10 and it looked like a fun game. I played through a dozen missions and got stuck. I need to try and finish it. I just don't like those whacked out anime stories that make no sense. It has some good music though.Indy_aka_Rex wrote: Am I the ONLY person who liked Maken X and Blue Stinger?

well although im not such a Sega fanboy that I would go as far as to say the graphics on the DC are better than Soul Calibur II on PS2 (and nowhere near Gamecube), for some reason the DC version (apart from any harder core than thou 'i must like rarer/older version' stuff (which I have to admit I sometimes am guilty ofracketboy wrote:Just to play Devil's Advocate, why should somebody want to play Soul Calibur when SC2 and SC3 is availible?SegaVega wrote:Soul Calibur
and btw I prefer Sc2 to SC3 also - I cant get into SC3 as much as I did SC2 - I dunno why.
My games I think would still hold up (to the unbiased/casual gamer) to modern games are:
F355 Challenge - ok Im an Italian car nut, but still I do think this is up there with Colin McRae and GT games - the sound alone is pretty sexual if your into cars lol - also the title screen with the Maranello gates and the restaurant - I also like the way you can ONLY drive from inside view - as it should be :p
Soul Calibur
Rez - although its an acquired taste
Ikaruga - cause its artistic design is such that it transcends system power etc.
Under Defeat - as a pure gfx showcase

(althou the girls in the item shops are pretty impressive lol)
in Tekken 5 i made the coolest of cool Devil Jins eheh
gave him long hair over his face and all black stuff armbands and shinguards - he genuinely looks like some Norwegian Black Metal demon

Wow -- I was going to include this one in my upcoming article, hoping it would be a surprise, but it looks like I'm not the only one that thinks its still worthy. An excellent, detailed racer.baphomet_irl wrote: F355 Challenge - ok Im an Italian car nut, but still I do think this is up there with Colin McRae and GT games - the sound alone is pretty sexual if your into cars lol - also the title screen with the Maranello gates and the restaurant - I also like the way you can ONLY drive from inside view - as it should be :p

yeh it is a brilliant, and pretty hardcore driving sim (ok not as hardcore as FIA GTR) but still very realistic IMO
oh yeh and btw when I visited Maranello, in the middle of the museum they had an F355 Arcade machine
the F355 is also my favourite of the modern 'normal' Ferraris (i.e. not F40's 288GTO Evo and Enzos etc)
It just seems rawer than a 360 or a 430, plus its one of the last of the squareish wedgey cars of the 70s-80s sports cars which I find far more aggressive and cool looking than modern blobsville crash-impact law abiding shapes :p

Why Tech Romancer? It wasn't bad, but I don't know if it's THAT good.bawitback wrote:Shenmue
Dead or Alive 2
Soul Calibur
Tech Romancer
Rival Schools: Project Justice
Chu Chu Rocket
Power Stone
Power Stone 2
Virtual On: Oratorio Tangram
Samba De Amigo Ver. 2000 (great version!)
Maybe I have yet to master the controls and am missing something...
