Oh wow looks like the Phantasy Star II Text Adventures did get a physical release on this compilation. Too bad Mega CD games aren't very import friendly.

EDF 2017 is a hell of a lot of fun. Although, I do have a few qualms-
Why do the vehicles suck so hard? Especially the helicopter.
It would be so much better in coop, methinks.
Why do the enemies take so damned long to kill sometimes?
I might just have shit weapons, but I wouldn't think it would take that long to kill enemies on normal mode...

If you can read japanese, investing in a region cartridge should be worth it. And it serves as a back up memory which is essential for RPGs. And there are some PAL exclusive games that are worth gettingBoneSnapDeez wrote:Oh wow looks like the Phantasy Star II Text Adventures did get a physical release on this compilation. I wouldn't care at all if I couldn't read Japanese.
Where does one get one of these fine region carts?

Damn I know how you feel man. I hate when cops try to feel powerful and make something out of nothing instead of doing their job.jinx wrote: Funny story:
I got kicked out of a GameStop once. I "spent too long browsing and must've been up to no good". I was out of town for a concert and had nothing better to do. I had brought my DS and had finally settled on a game after wandering around for nearly an hour (I think it was "The World Ends With You"). Just as I went to grab said game, a cop came up and started talking to me casually. I'm shy so my responses were short and awkward. Then he told me to step outside and then two more cops escorted me out of the building.
Pretty lame and I was pissed off. I'm pretty much a huge pansy and almost busted out in tears when trying to explain that I was tired and from out of town for a concert. All he kept saying is that I was doing drugs and trying to steal stuff and if he could prove it he would bring me to jail. I had to walk around the cold ass city for hours with nothing to do after that. Kinda sucked.
edit:
Errr... I guess my point was that I spend a lot of time when looking around for a game.

Yeah, I spent over twelve hours walking around aimlessly in a cold ass city I knew nothing about, but it was worth it because I got to see NIN live. First and last concert I've ever been to and completely worth it. Still pisses me off though.RyaNtheSlayA wrote:That's some bullshit jinx. Sorry that happened to ya.
Random Thought:
I often wonder how many games I enjoy just because they're nostalgic vs. games I enjoy because they're actually good games. When I was visiting my family on vacation, I let my brothers enjoy a lot of classic games I grew up with. Some of the games I was certain they'd love, because I enjoyed them so much when I was a kid. Those were the games that usually got shot down as "This is boring" or "What am I supposed to do even!?". There were a few gems out of the collection that got played all night long though. I think one of my brothers is now addicted to the Kirby games.
Maybe they're too young for games like Super Mario RPG, Earthbound or Chrono Trigger but still...

I'm so sad that the recently-announced remake of Dragon Quest Monsters 2 probably won't be making it to America, because Dragon Quest X, the Dragon Quest Monsters remake, and the Dragon Quest VII remake didn't make it here, either. Heck, Nintendo had to go out of their way to publish DQIX; otherwise, we wouldn't have gotten that, either. It's also salt in the wound that the 3DS is region-locked, so I can't even play them in Japanese.
