This joke will just never die

You'll want to use a paint that can stick to a plastic such as Krylon, I believe some people have used Auto paint but don't hold me to that. Either way don't just go buy plain ol' spray paint it won't stick or will eat away at the plastic.

Not just any Krylon, but Krylon Fusion. The Fusion is important, as that is the line of Krylon that specifically design to bond to plastics.

Basically, just follow the directions on the can. Make sure the surface being painted is SUPER clean. No sanding is needed. Apply multiple THIN coats, waiting about a minute between each coat. Don't try to cover the entire thing with one coat, that's how it gets all blotchy. Practice on something of no value, like a plastic storage tote, to get your technique down before you try spraying something of any importance.

Ah yes, thanks for catching my mistake there.
