From what I have heard, it is at least a little like that. Cuts the game significantly short. Probably nothing resolved like P4? I'm not sure on that one. But the chaos, law, and neutral endings should at least be SOMEWHAT gratifying. Even if neutral is supposedly 'the best'.

The bad ending resolves nothing.

For me, if there's an ending which requires more effort to reach, then I'll strive for that. So the true demon ending of Nocturne is what I went for, and now I'm going for the neutral one here. If all the endings take the same effort to reach I'll just go with whatever.

Is there any particular spot I should look to make a separate save file in case I want to go back and try a different ending?

When you first get to Ginza you will have reached a point where you should be able to choose your final alignment regardless of your choices made up to that point. The further you go beyond that point the less likely you are to be able to switch alignments when the decision point happens.

Yea. After the split I got a -10 swing and went from neutral to still neutral. So I was closer to law before. And now I am probably VERY close to the chaos side of neutral. Thus why I need some guidance on my answers until the last 10 to 15 point swing. I saw a guide to stay 0 (plus and minus the same amount of points) after the split. So I am sort of following that but leaning towards law on the 1 point questions because I am very close to chaos anyway.

Can I get some help in Ueno? I'll spoiler it:
I opened the Terminal there and have defeated Paedillah, but not sure where to go next to get over the river. I'm level 19 and doing ok defeating most of the demons around here... I also couldn't find the photog to give the film too, but I'm less worried about that one, I'm sure I'll find her somewhere.

She is in that building behind the underground station. You have to exit to the city map from that shrine area to get to it. And make sure the quest is active and that you picked up the film from the item shop.

I may be remembering this one wrong. But did you get the Paedillah quest from that horde of demons? Can't remember which boss is which anymore. If so, go back to them and they will help you cross the river.

Paedillah quest came from a dude in the bar there, he told me that the Counter-Demon base was across the river, but I needed to take care of the demon first. I did that and went back to the bar, but the guy there said the questgiver was eaten!

Did you try talking to the demon horde at the river? See what they say. If they don't help, I have no idea. But GameFAQS can be good for these sorts of issues. If there is one potential negative I would give the game it is how cryptic directions/quests can sometimes be.

Ah I think you may have answered it for me, I think I need to go back out to the river.
