=_= How about no because I love him and we've been together for six years. He likes First Person because it's easier to see things for him, I like First Person as well but i'm willing to do Third Person if it's done well. As in not an overhead camera like that stupid Tomb Raider game...forgot the name of it...it was a two player thing or something.ninjainspandex wrote:your boyfriend only likes FPS? Dump him.

You might also want to try Half-Life: Decay. It is a multiplayer co-op expansion for Half-Life that was included in the PS2 version of the game, and it was recently ported to the PC.

You wont get better than System Shock 2. Its the precursor to Bioshock and has multiplayer.
Though if you want some other suggestions, you can play Never Winter Nights in first person mode, but thats like playing a D&D game and not an FPS. Dead Island is kinda like Borderlands meets L4D.

System Shock 2? Lol, that's a terrible recommendation--these are folks who are picky about the most menial of things, they're gonna take one look at that game and dismiss it for being old and antiquated.fastbilly1 wrote:You wont get better than System Shock 2. I actually got nothin', was gonna say Time Splitters Future Perfect, but I honestly think y'all are too particular about games and there's too much of a dichotomy between your tastes to find some sensible overlap. Perhaps that new Destiny game for PS4 will be up your alley when it's out.

Re: A good multiplayer/co-op game?
While i'm not a huge fan of older games (it's not so much that the graphics are old...it's actually that the way they did the graphics gives me a headache, it's the same with N64 games) I have seen System Shock 2...I just don't know..I know it says co-op but how good is the co-op?Menegrothx wrote:System Shock 2

Portal 2...we both tried it and didn't care for it. The co-op mode I mean. Portal 2 was a good game...played alone lol.
Same issue I have with the graphics...it would give me a headache.prfsnl_gmr wrote:You might also want to try Half-Life: Decay. It is a multiplayer co-op expansion for Half-Life that was included in the PS2 version of the game, and it was recently ported to the PC.

Pointing out it's a precursor to a game I hate...doesn't help.fastbilly1 wrote:You wont get better than System Shock 2. Its the precursor to Bioshock and has multiplayer.

Well he used to play D&D back in the day...I never played it. I'll look into it.
Dead Island is horrible, played it and not a fan of it at all.
I'm picky but not that picky. If the game is good and has a good plot or at least good gameplay I can look past the graphics. I mean I happen to like HL and Doom. Good gameplay...not much plot lol.Lodestar wrote:System Shock 2? Well i'm not as particular as he is...what with the camera issue, but yeah it's hard to find something that fits both of us...why do you think I asked for help? I'v been trying for 2 years to find something that we can both play...we've tried so many damn games they all start to blur together. And I'm the only console gamer...so that game wouldn't help us...besides the fact I'm not buying the next gen consoles...i'v given up hope on the consoles, overpriced and just not interesting to me any more.

You really might be out of luck. There are very very few games that meet your criteria. But like Lodestar said, keep an eye out for Destiny. Honestly it might be the only game coming out this year that meets yalls criteria.
What kinds of games has he enjoyed in the past?

What did I just say about not buying a PS4? If it's only a PS4 game then no I won't get it.fastbilly1 wrote:You really might be out of luck. There are very very few games that meet your criteria. Borderlands, Skyrim, Oblivion, L4D, L4D2, all Half Life games...really a huge list. He doesn't like space games, driving games, third person games and turn based combat games.
I hate turn based combat games more then him so that Neverwinter Nights sounded ok...then I found out it's turn based...oh well. I don't care for driving games as well. I mean if I have to drive in a game to get some place it's fine but I dislike games where the focus is on driving.
And some of our likes do over lap, like Oblivion and Half Life. L4D as well but I got bored of it. And Skyrim...only to a point for me..I have a love/hate relationship with that game.
