I absolutely LOVE the idea of free games. But what if I'm just looking to trade? Some of my Steam Keys for other ones?

Does anyone know how that works? If a key hasn't been redeemed, can I just tell the person the key and they can use it?

Yep, giving them the unused key works, or well, it's been my main method of completing trades/gifts.

Yep, giving them the unused key works, or well, it's been my main method of completing trades/gifts.

It's also the primary way people get scammed on Steam, so don't trade keys with anyone you don't completely trust. Valve won't help you if you get scammed, since they explicitly say not to trade outside of Steam's trading system.
