The most popular game in Facebook is one where you run a farm. As far as I know, that's the objective in Harvest moon games too.
My WTB thread (Sega CD/Saturn games)
Also looking to buy: Ys III (TG-16 CD), Shadowrun (Genesis) Hori N64 mini pad and Slayer (3DO) in long box/just the long box

I'm one game away from a complete N64 collection. It gets hard to define what a complete collection is, though, especially once you get closer to the end. I'm only counting commercially-available games (so no "Not For Resale" or prize giveaway titles), and I'm not including Players Choice re-releases, color variations and revised ESRB ratings in that count. The N64 is actually simpler than most in this regard: the NES has 3 screw vs. 5 screw versions, disc-based systems have demo discs and magazine previews, etc. etc.

I'm going for a complete NA Dreamcast collection. I'm about 45 games away right now. And when I say complete, I mean variants too, so Sega All-Stars, Not-For-Resale, Limited Editions, all that stuff.

The reason I'm going for a complete collection is kinda weird though. Back in the day when the Dreamcast was around I really, really wanted one, but I was broke. So I got my first job to buy it and a TV, but by the time I had enough money saved up, Sega announced it was abandoning the console. I didn't want to buy a system that was not going to be getting any more new games, so I built my first computer instead. That decision changed everything for me. I don't think my life would be the same if it wasn't for the Dreamcast.

A year ago I decided I have the money now, so why not to buy the Dreamcast collection I always wanted!?

Some day I might go for a complete Genesis collection, but I'm in no hurry...

I had been going for a complete US DC library myself, but after a while I got burnt out on it. (Which means you might want some of my DC stuff, haha).

I'm not going after a full consoles games or anything but I'm collecting Nintendo published/developed titles, just regular US published titles, for the N64, Gamcube, DS, and Wii. I may add the NES, SNES, and Game Boy Advance to that someday. For the cart based systems I'm after cart only and for disc based and DS I want CIB.
My FS/FT/WTTF list:

I thought I've posted here before but I guess not. Well the answer is No. Rather spend my monies on games I want to play.

Hmm... your post got my attention. I can relate as it appears I was in the same position as you at that timeframe. The only difference is that the decision I made turned out to be the opposite of yours.
The DC was released at the time when I was a Sony faithful with the PS1.
I was trying to hold out and wait for the PS2, all the while the DC was building a constant library of amazing games that appealed to me. With my first ever job I was quickly saving up for that PS2 even though DC was def grabbing my attention as much I was trying to deny it. The same day Sega announced their discontinuation of the system, I went to my local Toy store and bought a brand new Dreamcast! and every week after that I bought as many games for it as I could afford (which was plenty considering every major retailer at the time had all that amazing game lineup priced to move, I'm talking about CVS1, 3rd Strike, Powerstone 2, Shenmue selling brand new for clearance prices). Those were awesome times for me.
Good luck with your collection btw.

Long term I'd like to have a complete SMS collection, but unless something crazy happens I'll probably pass on Buster Douglas Boxing and be happy with that. I don't buy in to the Sonic sticker thing either so it'd be an import like another person said.

I've never really understood the appeal of collecting every single game in a system's library. It seems like a lot of wasted shelf space that could be put to better use. Personally, I would just want notable games, rare games, and any other titles that I have a personal interest in. I don't have the room for a bunch of crappy games just for the sake of a "complete" collection

Collectors seem to love complete sets though. I guess I just don't get it
