Sign the petition for a Dredd sequel!

Post by MulishaSoldier929 »

I'm not typically into this kind of stuff but once I saw that 2000ad made an official petition I just had to sign up. The movie was sooooo good it really does deserve another shot. Anyways if your interested here's the link.

The movie wasn't really that good...it gets points for having a strong 80s action movie vibe which was nice to see in a nostalgic way, but it didn't really bring anything new worth seeing to those cliched formulas. No standout characters, scenes, etc...it was homage with no identity or soul of its own.

Well, THE RAID 2 is already in progress, so DREDD 2 shouldn't be too far off.

I liked it, I thought Urban nailed the character and I legitimately want to see more of the world.

Also I'm pretty sure the Robocop reboot is going to be awful, so signed.

I liked it. It wasn't a high brow artsy movie, but was a cool comic movie better than most comic movies. Had that Robocop vibe to it and better than most action movies in recent years. It isnt amazing but I can see it getting a cult following.

I also think a petition is worthless. The studio will look at $$ potential and the first didn't do well in that regard.

DREDD was a lot of fun and provided what it promised.

Forgettable? Sure. Worth seeing if you love dumb action? Yes.

Yeah I'm afraid its going to be awful also. A pg-13 Robocop not set in Detroit? I'll pass.

Yeah it definitely wasn't Shakespeare in the park but I have had to of seen it close to 10 times now. In comparison I have only seen Avengers twice and TDKR once. For me, the movie is just plain fun to watch.

I think they're afraid if they set it in Detroit it would hit the people of Detroit a little too hard at this point.

The residents of that city are very sensitive. As I understand it, a few of them are still reeling from The Kentucky Fried Movie...

EDIT: Maybe...probably...NSFW, BTW...

Detroit could use the money that Nuke could bring in and save the city.
