Is that the dual ship mode, where you control both ships with one controller? If so, than yes and I'm even worse at that than regular 2 player mode! But it's a cool option.

Got the 1cc in Hishouzame! (aka Flying Shark/Sky Shark)

It's the final game in trap15's tournament over on shmups forum. I had a practice run earlier today where I used one save state at the start of Stage 5 and cruised through to Stage 4 (actually stage 3 because it skips the first stage in the loop) in the 2nd loop and had a score of over 900k.

Of course, I haven't been able to repeat that! In my actual 1cc run I messed up in the 2nd loop and finished with 796,350.

Earlier in the week, I took a time out from that to play Fire Shark on the Mega Drive, which I blitzed through on my first attempt - default difficulty is easy, so it's not a huge challenge. I was on course for a no-death run, but accidently picked up the green weapon on Stage 6, which screwed me up. Only lost one life, and managed to get the red power-up back on Stage 9, which made the last two stages a breeze.

I make those two my 25th and 26th shmup 1CCs of the year so far.

Tried SaiDaiOuJou a few weekends ago... Seems like the toughest Cave game yet. At least for me. Maybe it was just me but it seemed like more was coming at me AND my hit box was much larger. Lol.

Agreed. IDK why, but it seems to have reeled me into playing shmups again. I probably spent a good 2-3 hours playing it last night.

It's just funny how it has absolutely nothing to do with the first game, except for all the dinosaurs of course. Also from the same dev as Blazing Star, another good shmup. I don't think it's overly difficult, but enough for you to keep coming back.
