That track is good, not great. On par with some of the weaker stuff from 1-6. Honestly, I'm just not interested in anyone's opinion on MM9 unless they've beaten 1-6 as well. That's just kind of how it is for me regarding this game. If you have, then forgive me.

I've seen way to many people praise MM9 for being totally old school, but these same people would never be able to give you any information on the spot about the old games. What was Skull Man's weakness? Identify this track. What is this enemy called? What game was Napalm Man in? Stuff like that. I've yet to actually find a review by a true fan of the old games. Just people who casually enjoyed some MM2, and if you're really lucky, MM3 as well.

Back to the music though, I've listened to the original and arranged MM9 albums multiple times, and my opinion is still the same. Weakest score ever in the classic series. Only great tracks are (Excluding the shit they just copied and pasted from the old games, which is fucking blasphemy, I think) the Title, Tornado Man, and Boss (Arranged ver only). Why do you think the MM9 trailer only included the first two tracks I mentioned? Because Capcom knew those were the only ones that were on par with expectations.

I had a NES when it was popular however i didn't played any of the Megaman games back then. However i played Megaman Dr Wily's Revenge for the original GameBoy and i remember being my favorite game for the system and i almost ending up finishing it (if i remember correctly i made it to Dr. Wily) but it was way too difficult for me back then.

However i beat Megaman 1 & 2 some days ago and i will beat Megaman III when i had the time. I found both games fucking awesome and i remembered the bosses from megaman 1 from the gameboy version, ah the nostalgia feeling...

Anyways, i think if i buy Megaman 9 i will judge it from a different perspective since as i said i recently beat Megaman 1 & 2.

Also as Elwood said the happy video game nerd posted a megaman 9 review in youtube and i don't think he's lying or something that he was a hardcore fan of Megaman games when they were popular.

Also a bit off topic but since you are such a hardcore fan of video game music i want to ask you: Castlevania or Megaman series music?
