Re: Burning Rangers
This game needs a reboot, come on sega you have so many great franchises yet you insist on ignoring them all, a real shame.

Yea, and to rub more salt into the wound, I was playing Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed and there are nods to Burning Rangers in that game. *sigh*ninjainspandex wrote:This game needs a reboot, come on sega you have so many great franchises yet you insist on ignoring them all, a real shame.

I agree with most of the previous posts. Burning rangers is a fun game that is also really unique but really not worth the price It goes for. I personally would import it, but I know a bit of Japanese so it wouldn't be as bad for me. This is definitely a series that could benefit from having a remake with tighter controls and better graphics.
Re: Burning Rangers
I've been looking to get this one for a while too and happened to stumble on a disc only copy with a Saturn Resident Evil disc only copy both for around fifty bucks just the other day.
Being that I'm in a similar situation, I can tell you that from what I've played so far the other comments are absolutely correct. It's not worth hundreds of dollars for a complete copy unless you're a collector. It has it's charm and so far the graphics look like a primitive form of Phantasy Star Online... but the game play doesn't seem justify much more money than I spent in my mind.

Re: Burning Rangers
Yeah..there is a lot of replay value though as each character you play as has their own campaign with varying paths and, after beating it, all the levels can be randomized. It is a really cool feature that adds a lot of replay to the game...there are some control gripes though.Omerta wrote:I've been looking to get this one for a while too and happened to stumble on a disc only copy with a Saturn Resident Evil disc only copy both for around fifty bucks just the other day.

Re: Burning Rangers
One of the things I remember really loving about Burning Rangers when I tried it out as a kid was the controls. I thought they were amazing, and the sensation of whipping around the playing field was very visceral, and very real to me at the time. After acquiring the Japanese version some time ago, and trying it out again, I was very disappointed to realize that the controls were not nearly as exhilarating, or sensational as I remembered. Very sad fact. Still not horrendous, and they could have aged far worse, in my opinion.BogusMeatFactory wrote:[T]here are some control gripes though.
