We all know that the GC is the Mario crowd, and serious/mature games consumers were all on the ps2 and Xbox . In addition , Both the Xbox and playstation 2 have a bigger consumer base.
Its cool that Capcom released an RE4 for the gamecube, but to say it was going to be exclusive?

What a story it is. A tragic tale of romance, passion, and a murder most foul!SamuraiMegas wrote:I'm not! Fill me in!MyNameIsVince wrote:I take it you weren't familiar with "The Capcom Five" saga?RCBH928 wrote:I do not understand why Capcom decided to say that RE4 will be exclusive to the Gamecube.

Capcom was 100 percent behind Nintendo and really tried to push the gamecube hard in the early days. They even announced that the Resident Evil franchise would be exclusive to Nintendo for that generation, and from that we got the Resident Evil remake and Resident Evil Zero.SamuraiMegas wrote:I'm not! At one point, Capcom announced that there were going to release five gamecube exclusive games: Killer 7, P.N.03, Viewtiful Joe, Dead Phoenix, and lastly, Resident Evil 4.
It didn't work out that way though. Dead Phoenix got cancelled, Killer 7 ended up being multiplatform, and as we all know, Viewtiful Joe and Resident Evil 4 ended up getting Ps2 ports later on. Only one that actually stayed exclusive was P.N.03

And, allegedly, that was a pretty weak game and the worst of the bunch. I say allegedly, as I've never played it myself.AppleQueso wrote:Only one that actually stayed exclusive was P.N.03

I've played it and got rid of it. It is short, has awkward controls, and is mostly just a nice looking game in an interesting setting with middling combatSamuraiMegas wrote:It sounds lame.Reprise wrote:And, allegedly, that was a pretty weak game and the worst of the bunch. I'm still interested, but I haven't seen the games as of yet. Between waiting on games, collecting a list of Wii games to grab, and my lack of cash, I don't see myself getting it for at least a year, if not more.
Plus, college isn't far off. I'll have to bro-up and hop on that PS4 ya'll.

All right. Let me get this straight...
You can access the Wii VC through Wii Mode on a Wii U. BUT you have to use Wii shop points to buy Wii VC games and cannot use a Wii U point card? And you have to boot Wii Mode on a Wii U to play games downloaded from the Wii VC?
Do I have that right?

Yea, I think so.
Will be interesting to see how the Nintendo buying Atlus rumor turns out. I'd prefer them to stay 3rd party, but I will be supporting them either way. They generally deserve my money with their games, haha.

On the upside, at least you can actually actually access and play those old purchases on your newer console.
As for the ATLUS topic that's going around....
As long as they continue to exist and make great games on consoles and handhelds (no smartphone garbage plz) then I don't mind who buys them up.
