Yes, and yes (came in the same box). Though, I got the CE colored one, and controller, so it might have changed up the shipping priorities. It did take longer for me to get my console in the first place too, at least compared to my brother.Reprise wrote:Did anyone order their OUYA with an additional controller? And if so, have you received yours yet or at least a shipping notification?

My console arrived just over a month ago, I think. And it didn't come in the same box.
And no, the email does not make me feel any better and yes, it is unprofessional. I feel like writing back in complaint, but I really just cannot be bothered anymore. They really need to learn a thing or two about customer service though.
The OUYA is tanking and will continue to tank.

Games for the nook aren't designed from the ground up for a wii-mote or any other controller, and unless the majority of users have a setup like that, developers are not going to bother supporting it. Games for Ouya can be designed with the knowledge that every user has a controller, therefore leading to more console style games.

I am not sure why those up-start companies look so excited and promising then they under-deliver and neglect customer service.Reprise wrote:My console arrived just over a month ago, I think. And it didn't come in the same box.

I didn't buy an OUYA and did not talk to their customer service, but I wil take your word for it.

Because start-ups rarely understand everything that goes into running a business.RCBH928 wrote:I am not sure why those up-start companies look so excited and promising then they under-deliver and neglect customer service.Reprise wrote:My console arrived just over a month ago, I think. Yep, that's what stops me going mad or threatening legal action or contacting trading standards. I just remind myself that they're not Sony or Microsoft, they're a new company with a console funded through kickstarter.
And hey, I haven't even mentioned yet that the controller that did come with the console is having weird issues with the left analogue stick malfunctioning.

Re: OUYA: Open Source Console - Kickstarted in 1 Day
Yeah, I suppose that is true. I seem to mostly use emulators and games that would suffer from a controller. Board games style games, game books, etc.. I still haven't seen any action type games on Android that really interest me. If I did I could possibly get them to work with the CCP though? Not 100% sure I guess. Towerfall does look like a lot of fun.Jrecee wrote:Games for the nook aren't designed from the ground up for a wii-mote or any other controller, and unless the majority of users have a setup like that, developers are not going to bother supporting it. Re: OUYA: Open Source Console - Kickstarted in 1 Day
My only problem is that many of those kickstarters are about people who have been in business (usually the business they are trying to kickstart) for a long time so its not new to them. Especially those who create games created many before in the past like Tom Hall from Doom and Brenda .MrPopo wrote:Because start-ups rarely understand everything that goes into running a business.RCBH928 wrote:I am not sure why those up-start companies look so excited and promising then they under-deliver and neglect customer service.Reprise wrote:My console arrived just over a month ago, I think. Re: OUYA: Open Source Console - Kickstarted in 1 Day
What are Ouya's best games? Best exclusives? First time I turned on my Ouya since the wedding, and so I splurged and downloaded a bunch of games. I only downloaded stuff I was familiar with. Turns out, though, that Sonic 4 is doing nothing for me, BombSquad and TowerFall really need 4 players, and I'd rather play my patched FFIII cart. I want to play some really cool exclusives, though. I heard Hidden in Plain Sight, Hidden Crate Box, and Amazing Frog were great games. What do you guys think?
Re: OUYA: Open Source Console - Kickstarted in 1 Day
There are exclusives...?
No, but seriously, besides TowerFall, I don't think I've even gone ahead and bought any of the exclusives. Would be interesting to hear some recommendations.
