Well I live in cali so everyone raves to me about In n Out. I personally think it's over rated. Don't get me wrong it's good it just isn't life changing as some may believe.

I like Togos, Carl's Jr, and my absolute favorite is Wienerschnitzel. Gotta love those chili cheese fries man.

I prefer Runza, this chain is limited to Nebraska with a few stores in Colorado, Kansas and Iowa. The rest of you don't know what you are missing!

However, Burger King's fries are the best. If I could get BK fries with Runza's burgers/runzas I'd be in heaven. Runza's onion rings are the best though so I usually get those instead of fries anyway. Their "Miller & Paine" cinnamon rolls (another local/historical dish) are simply incredible.

FYI: Miller & Paine was a department store started in the 1930's which was in Lincoln, Nebraska. In the vein of department stores of that era (they got bought out in the 1980s by Dillard's) they had a lunch counter and coffee shop. The coffee shop served cinnamon rolls using a recipe created by one of the owners' wives and the recipe was closely guarded. Runza recently bought the recipe from the family and I'd have to say they got it right. I can remember having these incredible cinnamon rolls as a kid when my Grandma took me shopping at M&P in the 1960's when department stores were still a shopping wonderland.
Ow! My small intestine!

It's not really my favorite but I eat Jimmy John's all the time because it's the best cheap place within walking distance of school. After that I'd say Burger King, the whopper jr. has to be one of the best fast food deals you can get.

Lol i really don't know what Hardee's is either. Togos is a sandwich place only in Cali and Wienerschnitzel is a hot dog chain with some of the best chili. Anyways if you're ever in Cali I'd stop at those places. Oh and get the western bacon cheeseburger if you go to Carl's that is soooo good.

I don't have a fave, but when I go to certain places, I only get certain things:

* McDonalds - either 3 Chicken Sandwiches + fries from the $1 menu OR two chicken clubs + fries

* Burger King - about 12-15 Chicken Tenders + lotta fries

* Wendy's - two chicken sandwiches (plain) with fries

* KFC - either the Popcorn Chicken or a few plain chicken sandwiches, with mashed potatoes and gravy

* Arby's - two chicken, bacon and swiss sandwiches, but no fries cuz their fries suck

But for breakfast, nothing beats a couple of bacon, egg and cheese McGriddles from McDonalds.

But... all the fast food places are up in Kitty Hawk, so I only get to get fast food when I go up to Nags Head (here, "Nags Head" is a general term for the general area composed of the respective townships of Nags Head, Kitty Hawk and Kill Devil Hills).

Man you American's have such awesome fast food stores.
We don't really have anything special here in Australia.

I like the cheeseburgers/nuggets and desserts from McDs.
The Bacon Deluxe and new chicken burgers from Hungry Jacks are good.
Pizza is always dominos, but the one I had last night was terrible. Not enough sauce.
KFC is ok, but I eat that very rarely. Their nuggets and bacon/cheese/bbq burgers are great.

That's about it really. I'd love to have a proper Wendy's here in Aus. But I doubt that'll happen.

Haha! RUNZA! I forgot about that place. My hometown had 2 Runza's. I actaully used to love their fries. I have always been completely creeped out by the Runza itself which is essentually a soft, small, loaf or bread filled with ground beef and onions. I wasn't even a vegetarian then, but I still wouldn't touch them. I'd have to say I remember there other food to be much higher quality than other fast food resturants. Taco Johns is another small time place I used to love. They had tater tots in there burritto's was before anyone else thought of it.

But actaully I haven't ate any fast food, except an occasional batch of french fries from Whataburger and a no-cheese pizze form Papa Johns, for almost 7 years. I pretty much eat a vegan diet so fast food isn't really and option, but I don't miss it. There is a fast food vegetarian place in Los Angeles called Astro Burger...but I've never tried it. I generally prefer slower cooked, and better quality food. I can wait and be rewarded with a quality meal. Plus my favorite foods are Thai, Indian, and Ethiopian...and other than thai it doesn't usually come in friendly to-go portions.

I'm not trying to give you fast food junkies a hard time either. I used eat that way....but i changed my diet for health reasons and have never felt better. I think getting out of that fast food lifestyle, slowing down, enjoying your food and eating higher quality grub has a profound effect on your body. It certainly has on mine. I used to weight 140 lbs and people though I was on drugs or something. I actually gained weight and my mother no longer tries to fatten me up when I visit home.

anyway....runza.....ha.

Moes Southwestern Grill
Panera
KFC/Popeyes (don't have Popeye's locally)
In N Out -- don't usually like their fries, but the one in San Francisco is the best.
I'll also get a Burger King regular hamburger or chicken tenders when I need a cheap snack on the go.
