Name this NES game
Re: Name this NES game
I was gonna say something about the stage clear dance
Take a look at this image that compares the 2 games. Rare always did good on arcade conversions, and this game was no exception. My only issue is that destroying background objects only awarded you 500 points, but in the original you'd get 500-50,000 points for doing the same.

That arcade version looks a whole lot better.ExedExes wrote:I was gonna say something about the stage clear danceTake a look at this image that compares the 2 games. Well, obviously, but the point is that it looked good enough given the capabilities of NES.BurningDoom wrote:That arcade version looks a whole lot better.
Re: Name this NES game
Might I also add the arcade original used a TRACKBALL to move your player left and right?
If you moved it up and right or down and right you'd also be able to do the evasive manuevers made a bit easier on the NES.

I've got this game on my commodore. It's ok.
Re: Name this NES game
I don't have that one, I guess I will have to keep an eye out for it.
Every time I see a thread like this, I open it thinking its going to be like a game show, where you need to name the game based on the info or screen shot given. It would be kind of fun to set something like that up.

There's also a version of the arcade original that's meant to be played with a normal joystick.ExedExes wrote:Might I also add the arcade original used a TRACKBALL to move your player left and right?

I always played that game in the arcades when I was a kid. I got my fingers pinched by the trackball so many times. It was painful but the game was too much fun.

My Atari Trackball, amazingly, still works. I'm pretty sure the only game I can use it with though is Millipede.ExedExes wrote:Might I also add the arcade original used a TRACKBALL to move your player left and right?
