Re: Wiz or Pandora?
I'm going to wait to see the progression of the homebrew communities for both. The Pandora is probably my choice, if they come out with some really good emulators for it, like the Dreamcast, or, *gasp* the Saturn!
Anyway, I can't wait to see how the homebrew apps for both consoles.
Re: Wiz or Pandora?
Too bad the choice of an ARM CPU insted of x86 is going to exclude a fair bit of software. i.e., no zsnes since it contains x86 assembly code.
We are prepared to live in the plain and die in the plain!
Re: Wiz or Pandora?
The Pandora sounds more promising when it comes to specs, but I don't like the pocket PC design of it with a full keyboard. I'd rather have something with just the basic SNES amount of buttons, and having only had a GP2X for just over a year or so I'd probably move over to the Wiz at some point, depending on how much more they manage to get out of it (full Playstation emulation etc). Otherwise I'm happy with what I've got for the time being.

Pandora - USB keyboard and mouse with Quake 3/Open Arena Support. It makes me think it might just become my netbook.
Re: Wiz or Pandora?
Yes, I would prefer Pandora too, but I'll wait until a new Generation (If there is one)
of Pandora. They always do improvments.

there is already a snes emulator working 100% on pandora. its not zsnes but it emulates perfectly so who cares?Hatta wrote:Too bad the choice of an ARM CPU insted of x86 is going to exclude a fair bit of software. i.e., no zsnes since it contains x86 assembly code.
i pre-ordered a pandora, i'll probably get a wiz as well but i'll wait a bit to see if gph messed it up like they did the gp2x.
