Yeah I play with a buddy online and he plays Gaige and I play Krieg. Probably not the best combo (since both are pretty much melee) but we have fun. My main character was Axton (and I played the others as well, since you need to for the plat) but I'd put Krieg as my favorite. He's not very high level yet (I think I'm around level 20) but I'm going Mania skill tree and he's getting better each time I level up.
Borderlands 2 is such a great game. It's so fun and addicting. People who say they get bored with it seem to not level up their characters enough. Once you start unlocking more skills, the fun really starts picking up.
