Yeah, I'll keep giving the mouse and keyboard a shot. I CAN play with it, it just doesn't feel completely instinctive and intuitive yet. I feel like I move and react faster with the controller, but my ability to aim suffers obviously.EvilRyu2099 wrote:Gamerforlife wrote:I started out playing on mouse and keyboard to see if it really gives that huge advantage that people always say mouse and keyboard has over controllers for shooters. Based on my own personal experience, that's only half true. Sure the mouse is awesome, it lets you aim quickly and accurately, but using the keyboarod to move around and perform certain functions is really unintuitive and clumsy. Any time I want to do something like crouch or throw a grenade my fingers always hit the wrong key or I'll hit the right key but then lift my other fingers off the wasd movement keys and have to fumble around to get them back into position. All of that stuff is so much easier with a controller. Every button is easily accessible making some things easier to do in the thick of a fire fight and controllers are just much easier on your left wrist unless you have a really good ergo set up. Downside is, once you switch to controller you notice just how much harder it is to quickly line up shots using the analog instead of a mouse.
.
You're first statement here is probably based on the fact that you haven't used a KB and Mouse often.. Once you remember your binds it becomes easy as pie to perform the functions you mentioned just as if you have a controller.. I can understand it from your perspective though because it does take some adjustment.. But like I said, in due time you will never need to rely on a controller, that is unless you want to fly or use a vehicle within the game..
That looks extremely awesome! I have to try that sometimeninjainspandex wrote:Gamerforlife get a fragfx shark for your pc you use a mouse in the right hand and a half controller or i know logitec has a gaming keypad that has an analogue stick built in i forget the name though.

This game.
I haven't played this game much at all for the past few months. I decided today I'd finish off the Hammerlock DLC to see if I could get some Steam cards in my play time. I did. Then I decided to go ahead and give Tiny Tina's DLC a turn...
I've sunk almost 8 hours into this game today without even thinking about it. I know of no other game that I've ever played that can so quickly and so completely eat away the hours. Love it.
The Tiny Tina DLC is by FAR the best one for B2. If you haven't played it, you should. Awesome. Hoping to finish tonight!

I'll second this. It's a great send up of everything RPG, both tabletop and computer.dsheinem wrote:The Tiny Tina DLC is by FAR the best one for B2. If you haven't played it, you should. Awesome. Hoping to finish tonight!

Re: So...Borderlands 2?
I got a question for y'all. How good is the DLC for B2? From the above couple comments I can guess that Tiny Tina is good, but what about the rest? Also how many are there? Cause I don't even know for sure, lol.
I'm thinking I'll wait for the inevitable GOTY/Ultimate edition that'll have all the content included, but if only one or two of them are any good then that idea might change.

The DLC is hit or miss. Tiny Tina's is the best one by far. Hammerlock's and Scarlett's are very weak and Torgue's is average.
It was Torgue's DLC that burned me out of Borderlands 2. I got too bored.

Also, how so? I suppose I should have given a bit more detail, but generally when DLC get's released for a game like this the primary thing I'm interested in is seeing a change of setting. Same ol same ol gameplay usually isn't a problem for me.jfrost wrote:The DLC is hit or miss.
Also I've heard there were DLC characters? Are any of them worth it?

Yes, there are 2. Gaige is a Mechromancer and Krieg is the Psycho. I haven't played Gaige, but Krieg is effing awesome! He is a melee character and really changes up the way you have to play the game. I love his skill tree.MrEco wrote:

Re: So...Borderlands 2?
Gaige is my favorite character, she hits my play style perfectly. Her ability is to summon a robot that runs around the battlefield beating the crap out of things or shooting lasers. She also yells quotes from UT2k4...graffix_13 wrote:Yes, there are 2. Gaige is a Mechromancer and Krieg is the Psycho. I haven't played Gaige, but Krieg is effing awesome!
