Um, the Castlevania games are kinda hack and slash and they have lots of weapons, armor, and powers to collect, maybe you will like that. I don't thing there are any Diablo type games though. Not 100 percent sure.

Baldurs Gate: Dark Alliance was great.. At least the PS2/Xbox1 version.. I have not played it on GBA but according to IGN and Gamerankings it is supposed to be good
the Game Boy Advance version of Baldur's Gate turned out surprisingly well on the handheld. Even though it's missing a few key elements from the original design it's based upon, namely multiplayer and story cutscenes, Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance works out very well in portable form with its fast-paced action, extensive quests, and large variety (and quantity) of enemies to defeat.
I would definitely give it a try if I didnt play it on the Xbox1
I've got no signature.

Lunar Knight, Scurge: Hive and Children of Mana are probably the closet thing to following the Diablo gameplay dynamic on the DS. But if I had to play one game out of my list, Lunar Knight would be the one. Hideo Kojima made it so you know its good.

Lunar Knights looks fun but I dont no if I will like the switching between characters. It would be easy to make a diablo like game on the ds, why havent they done this!

The closest thing to a Diablo game on the DS is Soma Bringer, but so far it was only released in Japan. And I haven't heard of any plans for a US or European release. But if you can read Japanese you should pick it up. I've only played a little bit of it and it was pretty good. It's like Diablo if Diablo was made by a Japanese developer.

Mystery Dungeon comes to mind. I think it's turn based, though.

Never played it, but I've heard it's a dungeon crawler with lots of loot.

This is a strange suggestion to put here, as it is a turn-based, tactical RPG, but give Tactics Ogre (GBA) a try. There's loot, spells, lots of classes, and a bunch of replayability. It's not very much like Diablo, but it has some things in common, and it is doubtlessly a great game anyway.

If you have an N-Gage, then there is a decent Diablo clone, but I don't remember the name right now - it is Requiem of Hell I think.
