Hi!
Can I use my G-Con 45 for emulation? I connected my Pc via S-vid to Tv and the g-con with a PS to USB adapter. Is it possible to play emulated lightgun games (for example snatcher) with a real lightgun, like the g con or do have to take another one?
Lightgun question
Re: Lightgun question
Highly doubt that the ps->usb converter will work. You would need additional drivers. Drivers that AFAIK don't exist.

Re: Lightgun question
okay. And what's about a real pc lightgun via Usb? Does this work?
Re: Lightgun question
Should do, if you can get a real PC lightgun. It will basically just emulate a pointing device. So as long as the emulator supports light gun games played with a mouse you will get the desired effect.

Re: Lightgun question
Can I use the PC Lightgun with a normal CRT or does it only work with a flatscreen?
Re: Lightgun question
Works with either because the light gun will use infrared sensors like the wii remote.

Re: Lightgun question
Okay than I'll buy such a lightgun. But which emulators support real lightguns? I know zsnes does, but what about Genisis/Mega Drive?
Re: Lightgun question
I know MAME supports them. Most of the decent light-gun games for Mega-Drive were arcade ports anyway.

What about Snatcher?
Re: Lightgun question
*shrugs* never tried. I've only ever played it with the lethal enforcers gun on my Mega CD.
You're going to be ok with a tonne of mame games so if you're really into shooting games and emulating them then I say go for it. There's a few DC/saturn shooters that got ported to PC anyway. Like Confidential Mission and Virtua Cop. So at least you can play those if you don't have the original etc.
I dunno really. I've never really dabbled with PC lightguns. I've never been a fan of emulating games that need extra peripherals. I'm just applying my extensive knowledge of lightguns and their tech to your application.
