2x Super Famicom + 2x Super Gameboy 2 -which cable do I use?

Post by monkeyboy »

I can seem to find a straight answer on this. As the title of the thread suggests, I'm trying to link together 2 Super Famicom systems. Well, I will be. They're in the post. Anyway, I have two copies of the games plus the two consoles/adaptors. The only thing I need is a link cable to connect the Super Gameboys to each other. I haven't bought it, cause I don't know which one to get... Please help.

Well there is no link cables for the consoles. Perhaps the GB link cable, or maybe it had a special one.

Yeah just link them the way they were meant to be linked, seems like a lot of trouble go through just to avoid playing it on a gameboy.

^ Yeah, because you'll also need two TVs.

Also, if you didn't know, you don't need a Famicom to use the SGB2. If you're in the USA, all you have to do is break off the "region tabs" on the SNES and you have 100% SFC compatibility.

Yeah its a really easy procedure, kinda defeats the purpose of buying a SFC, unless its for collectible reasons.

Gameboy Pocket or Color link cable.
Super Gameboy 2 has the small port like Game Boy Printer. Original Gameboy kind won't fit.

Just connect each Super Famicom to its own TV normally.
If you're in Europe, NTSC version RGB SCART should be easy to use for best quality.

It's a suggestion. I didn't want to assume the user's location.
