Is Shadow of the Colossus worth it?

I actually kind of prefer the PS2 version over the PS3 HD rerelease. Simply because in the PS3 version they "fixed" the diagonal jump barely depleting your grip meter "bug" which means you need a LOT of lizard tails before you can even dream of getting to the secret garden.

I think you mean the PS2 demo version of the game. The "bug" was removed from the retail copy of the PS2 as well as the PS3.deathsled wrote:I actually kind of prefer the PS2 version over the PS3 HD rerelease. Sounds like the OP has discovered a local Five Below. I picked up SotC there for $5. They also have a number of other retail sealed PS2 games for $5, including SOCOM 3, all of the entries in the Sly Cooper series, and Twisted Metal Black.

If you don't have a PS3, it's definitely worth it. If you do have a PS3, spring for the HD Collection. You get ICO and SotC both in HD with 3D support and no frame rate issues.
