I got pulled over once.
I let the cop off with a warning.

Here the speed traps are designed to make sure everyone gets a ticket. Ive heard from many that they don't even talk to you, just get your license and insurance and come back with a ticket.flex wood wrote:Heh I have been pulled over at almost every speed trap I know of in the city here and never gotten a ticket. I just say that I forgot about there being a speed trap here. They usually laugh and tell me to have a good day.Jmustang1968 wrote:If it is a speedtrap, you are screwed.
Not sure if it helps but it hasn't gotten me yelled at or a ticket yet, I always ask if they are going to show up in court if I fight the ticket any time I get pulled over.

It was so funny, the cop was just super friendly and seemed kind of awkward, I think he felt bad for pulling me over. He seemed fairly young so that might have something to do with it. When he approached the car he said "hi I'm so and so with the fridley police department." To which I replied while laughing "no fucking shit." He asks for my license, which is in my backpack under a zip lock bag of dog treats. I made sure he saw was a zip lock bag and when he made that "this guy has a giant bag of drugs face" I told him it was some grade A shit, pulled one out and handed it to him. His face was priceless.
He then told me what was up with the alarm, asked if I was there and what not. He also apologized for wasting my time! I told him to take his, I get paid hourly and we chuckled.
This happened in a combination gas station taco bell parking lot that I didn't really know so after he tells me I'm good to go I proceed to drive around the lot 3 times to find the exit after driving up to the closed car wash and reversing back 30 feet to get back into the parking lot. I'm sure he was confused by that stunt.

The same thing happened to me right after I was venting about getting an inspection sticker, then I got a ticket for not having a valid one not one hour after posting it here. I actually got it thrown out yesterday, but not after having to run around the entire court house. The officer put court #15 at 7pm and I sat in #15 for a hour and a half and finally asked the lady why my name wasn't called. Turns out I was supposed to be in court #1, and they had me down as a no show and issued a warrant. I got it fixed, but it pissed me off how a simple mistake could have given me jail time.
I'm here for your body.
