Yeah and SLJ is in it too. Doesn't matter. It is even more of a movie that should not be remade than most. Those two changes will really mess things up. Not that I'm rooting for the 2 things that makes you go 'oh shit' in the movie, but that's what drives the movie. It's be like taking the Luke/Vader dynamic out of Star Wars and just making them a generic good guy and bad guy or making the Turtles aliens instead of mutants.dsheinem wrote:Don't fret too much, Spike Lee is handling it and he has an excellent track record of well made films. It will be different, but not necessarily/automatically worse.

Evil Dead (2013). It wasn't great but it wasnt terrible IMO. The similarities with the original I thought were a nice touch but then it was co produced by Raimi and Campbell. The ending is where it lost me a little (like MANY modern horror movies).

Meh not a fan of Spike Lee. So that does nothing for me.dsheinem wrote:Don't fret too much, Spike Lee is handling it and he has an excellent track record of well made films. Changes are being made. He's imprisoned longer and sees someone from his past so that takes out a huge 'oh shit' moment from the original. I doubt they'll do the hallway scene in one take either. It will be all chopped up and full of special effects. The raw single unedited and unembellished long take is what made it so awesome in the original.

Vin Diesel should be left out of the Marvel Movie Universe, yes?
Maybe he's goofy enough to pull off a comic book character role, but when someone asks me "Who is one of the worst actors who get major billing?" Vin is one of the first to come to mind.
Who knows? He could be a pretty decent absorbing man or Modok.

I have a fondness for Vin Diesel because I love Pitch Black. He is also a nerd and into games and D&D and all that good stuff.Luke wrote:Vin Diesel should be left out of the Marvel Movie Universe, yes?

I just wanted to point out that we went over 3 days of inactivity in this thread.
That has to be the most inactive I have EVER seen this thread.
