Go ahead and post a pic. I can't think of what kind of sensor you're talking about off the top of my head.

I haven't opened a PS2 slim, but I assume that's just a switch to detect if the lid is open.

What is it doing? Is it booting up the internal software but won't let you play discs?

If it is a sensor for the door and it's just a micro switch you could just use an ohm meter on it to determine if it's normally open or normally closed. Then either solder a jumper on the board or cut the trace so that it makes the PS2 think the door is always closed...

Your pics and words are both "blurry". Maybe spell check and clean up of your sentences before posting a Thread asking for help?

The pics are too up close to verify without a pulled back pic for comparison as to where the problem is. What exactly is wrong and how did it break? A senser/sincer tells us nothing.

As Omerta mentioned, I'm guessing you are talking about the door detection switch. Either solder in a new switch if you can find a replacement cheap or jumper the switch circuit. The problem of the jumper method is you have to insert a game before powering on and waiting until a disc stops before changing a game. At least a workable inexpensive fix though.

Yeah just figure out where to jumper the switch out or where the circuit needs broken and you should be good.

What were you trying to accomplish? Are you hot-swapping discs to play burned CDs or foreign games? I'd imagine it would have been easier to just wedge a piece of paper or something in it instead of sticky tact (tape?).
