@ J_Wil - Nice Find on the 8 Track games. Never heard of them.

I said it before and I'll say it again. I LOVE BOOKOFF!

PS2 NTSJ Eye Toy and Eye Play - $5.00 BookOff
Considering a Japan issue CIB for both Eye Toy and separate CIB software (underneath the orange box), a very good price. Weird that this beat 360's Kinect years before with similar motion detection capability, but did not become that popular. I should test this out with the Lemmings game.

PS2 NTSCJ Bomberman Land 2 - $5.00 BookOff
I don't know why Bomberman is available on every system except the United States PS2 console?! The RPG levels are in Japanese, but a nice round of Bomberman games and Bomberman Kart are also included.

PS2 NTSCJ IQ Remix+ - $5.00 BookOff
Holy Crap! I did not know there was even a PS2 version of this, having collected the variuos PS1 renditions. Graphics have been upped with the same gameplay of the PS1. Tricky puzzles maneuvering around blowing up the different color blocks in the right sequence so you won't fall off the ledge.

PS1 NTSCJ Arkanoid Returns - $5.00 BookOff :D
Ooooh yeah, finally got this locally on the cheap! Who does not like Arkanoid, one of the better Breakout games? The best part is PS1 Mouse and Nyco Trakball compatibility. The instructions even show a Vaus Playstation controller inside that looks a lot like the NES version. Setting the sensitivity all the way up allows for quick precise movement and instant stopping of the paddle on screen when using the Trakball. As in seven's Dream Gear 75 with an Arkanoid clone game built in, I wish each level had the diamond on top. The last couple of blocks sometimes are frustrating to hit to complete a level.

Arkanoid Returns is an arcade game released by Taito in 1997 as part of the Arkanoid series. It was the fourth overall, and third to be released in arcades. The game was since ported to the PlayStation, with an updated home release being released afterwards titled Arkanoid R 2000.

Image

All versions were released exclusively in Japan, currently making it the only game in the series to never receive an international release.
The satisfaction of finding a rare exclusive game, added justification for mjmjr25's region coding argument. There is also a 2000 edition that has an additional 150 levels and that rare Playstation Vaus Spinner, the hunt continues!

PS1 Illust Puzzle Slide Puzzle - $3.00 BookOff
I was going to pass on this since it looked like a jigsaw puzzle placement game. After looking at the back cover, the Slide Puzzle also seemed not a big deal. But wait a minute, one screenshot on the top left has a row of numbers horizontal and vertical in a certain Puzzle Arcade game that I love playing in Mame. Take a look at the pic below, see if you know.

Image

The numbers represent how many blocks and spaces, a guesstimate where to put based on the adjacent rows. A set of filled blocks have to have one empty space between them. Its a different take on Soduku, but still counting involved. It plays the same as the Arcade but a disappointment that you do not get gonged immediately if coloring in the wrong square. The entire puzzle has to be solved before you know all the spaces are colored in correctly. At least there is no time limit like the Arcade Logic Pro. Another hunt, there is also a PS1 release of that Arcade game.

PS1 Shanghai True Valor - $5.00
Also PS1 Mouse and Trakball compatible. Standard match of two mahjong tiles at a time to clear the board. There is also an easy letter face mode, nice feature of pivoting the entire board to see how high the chips are stacked.

Nah my game room is pretty messy though here are some pics :P. This is about half of my collection the rest is upstairs with the big screen but that area is a little busy right now :P.

Poor Atari carts haven't found a proper home yet :P.
Image

The Sony Trinitron along with the TV cabinet that have been in the family probably about as long as I have :P.
Image

Have 9 systems plugged up and ready to go. Multiple power strips which I only plug in while gaming of course :P.
Image

My stash of controllers, plug-n-plays, and light guns stowed away along side the NES, SNES, and N64.
Image

Desperately in need of more shelf room :P. Shelf is crammed full of PS2 games and stuff that I haven't gotten to sort through yet :P. All none play station games are confined to the ever growing stack of copier paper boxes taking up residence in the corner :P.

Saw My Morning Jacket, Wilco and Bob Dylan last night in Indianapolis. My buddy and I drove back to ohio... Took our time and hot bunch of new little shops and flea markets and garage sales... Lots of fun, turned a 3 hour drive into 7 hour return trip. Unfortunately I didn't score much, but got a couple good deals I'm happy about. Each game was 1.99 and are all complete in good condition.

well, I finally used my gamestop points.

after about 3-4 years of buying cheap games I finally had enough to get a Free PS3 Dual Shock controler!

It cost me 44,500 points, however much that may be. But still, free is cool.

I also got a gamestop email for my birthday month. They sent me a 20% off coupon for a used game. So I ended up buying CIB Tales Of Graces F

Got it for $28.79 with my discounts.

I hope this game is good.
