The Vita will surely build up a great library eventually if the PSP is any indication, but I think the 3DS will have a more steady stream of quality games, especially now that it's picked up a lot of steam.RyaNtheSlayA wrote:I think that is a good choice.noiseredux wrote:I think i've decided my next handheld will be a 3DS rathet than a Vita.
Get a Vita down the line after a bunch of stuff is already out for it, I say.

Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
yeah, like with most systems I've been keeping an eye on how many 3DS games appeal to me and it just seems like it's getting to a point where there's enough of them for me to justify owning one. Project X Zone may have been the tipping point. And then add to that the DS backwards compatability it just seems more alluring to me than the Vita as most Vita games that interest me tend to be games that were also released on PS3.

If you don't have a DS, then yeah - get a 3DS now.

I just got a 3DS myself... or well, I got one for my girlfriend but I'm playing it a bunch too.

If you already have a DS, I think it is a poor choice.RyaNtheSlayA wrote:I think that is a good choice.noiseredux wrote:I think i've decided my next handheld will be a 3DS rathet than a Vita.

Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
I sold my DS before the move a few months back. But I had an old fat original DS which I just absolutely hated the feel of. I hated the buttons on it. It was just really uncomfortable to me vs. a DS Lite. (My wife has a Lite). So really, I've got a handful of DS games and no DS - and I'm starting to see that a lot of 3DS games that would appeal to me are getting pretty affordable.dsheinem wrote:If you already have a DS, I think it is a poor choice.RyaNtheSlayA wrote:I think that is a good choice.noiseredux wrote:I think i've decided my next handheld will be a 3DS rathet than a Vita.

Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
I have a 3DS right now and I'll be getting a Vita this fall. Right now, both have enough games to interest me. Four or five good games is enough to get me interested in a console, and I'm sure their libraries will continue to grow. I don't think I'm taking much of a risk - both will become amazing.

Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
Here's a random one:
I use a toiletry bag to transport my SNES games when I go somewhere to play video games.
It works really well. You can put quite a few of them in there and it makes keeping track of your games much easier than having your games in various pockets and compartments in a duffel bag/backpack and risk losing track of them or losing them period.
I use this one: I can hold up to 9 SNES games in there. Works for my N64 carts too. I haven't tested NES carts but I don't think you can hold many of those in there.
EDIT: I can fit 7 NES carts, but they're stored horizontally (opposite from the SNES games in the pic above). Not bad. Actually I can fit 7 NES carts plus one SNES cart, or 1-2 N64 carts.
