I have an Interact Sharkpad Pro controller that is not working properly. It appears to have a constant but slight idle tilt problem. It is only noticeable in games like Goldeneye and Perfect Dark when you apply the R-trigger to aim with the cursor. When doing this, the cursor will shake/wiggle back and forth, i.e. it will not remain still, as it should. Bond does not walk on his own though, so it only shows itself in a highly sensitive situation, like the aiming. It's not a huge problem, but definitely an annoyance, which makes aiming a lot more difficult.
The problem started after I took the controller apart for a cleaning. I had recently purchased the controller, checked to make sure it worked, and decided to give it a good internal cleaning since it was dirty. The controller was in good shape though, with a very tight, responsive joystick. These controllers have different internals compared the the official stick (this uses potentiometers). I decided to be proactive and lubricate the joystick shaft and plastic casings surrounding it. Every since I put it back together it has these sensitivity issues. I have two other pads just like this one, have cleaned and took apart the joysticks, but they have always returned to normal.
Another strange thing I noticed when taken apart, even with the joystick out of the housing and the R-trigger depressed, the cursor will still jiggle about as if there is a slight pull being made.
Anyway, hoping to see if anyone has something else I can try. I've taken it apart multiple times with no success. It's a pretty good controller, so it'd be a shame if I can't get it back to normal. Appreciate the help.

Re: N64 Third Party Joystick Problem
There is likely some light crud or corrosion that's gotten inside the stick potentiometers. You might be able to douse the stick with electrical contact cleaner and move it in circles for a minute, then let it dry for a few hours.

I've got a spare Sharkpad pro with a broken casing if you are interested in swapping out the internals. I'd let it go cheap if you're interested. If so, PM me.
