Agreed

I have one of each and I definitely prefer using the 1st gen Saturn controller. The 2nd gen Saturn controller gets uncomfortable for me after 10 minutes of playing. Still don't care for the shoulder buttons on either controller honestly.

Yearly Call of Duty titles are good games. They are very fun to play with friends. It doesn't deserve the hate emanating from the "hardcore" gamer communities.

Here is a really unpopular opinion: Mass Effect is overrated.

I have the platinum trophy for Mass Effect 2, so I think that qualifies me to give an opinion of the overall game. Granted, I never played Mass Effect 1 or 3, but 2 is regarded at the 'best' in the series by a lot of people.

The game wasn't horrible, but I just wasn't that impressed by it. I mean it's a standard RPG with 3rd person shooter elements to it. I didn't find the story all that griping and I really didn't care about the characters (except Miranda, she was pretty hot).

Mass Effect 2 = Meh.

Modern RPGs in general are meh most of the time, unless they're on handhelds/indy.

The fan base behind it are the ones that should be hated.

^ Yup.

The games wouldn't be that horrible if the gameplay was maintained but the story and themes were changed.

Military fetishism and bro culture are big turn-offs.

Call of Duty is like the massive big budget Hollywood blockbuster summer popcorn muncher. It's fun to go and watch with friends, but chances are no-one is putting it on their list of favourite movies or using it as an example when talking about good movies.

It's the game you pop in when a bunch of buddies want to talk on Skype, but you need something that takes no brain power to pay attention to during the conversation.

That's without even getting into the lousy single player (why even bother making it) or the hugely unbalanced multiplayer . It might not deserve all the hate it gets, no, but calling it a "good game" is a stretch a best.

A ton of people have Call of Duty as their favorite game, unless you're talking about the stereotypical ones who go to gamefaqs and what not.

Well, not a super unpopular opinion or anything, but I really like Fallout 3 and think it's a well designed game in practically every way.

Only reason I bring that up is because it's come to my attention that apparently there's quite a few of you here that don't hold it in very high regard, to put it lightly.

The same thing could be said about all genres/"gaming subcultures" though.
