Games Beaten 2013
Re: Games Beaten 2013
I made a list of games I want to beat this summer and just got around to starting it. Yesterday I beat Portal and today I beat Starfox 64. As for all of 2013, I finally beat Halo 3 on Legendary for the first time sometime in February. I put it off for about 5 years just because I didn't want to play "Cortana" on Legendary

If you liked Lollipop Chainsaw, there's a very good chance you'll like Deadpool. Definitely check it out.

The Vectorman series is bizarre, beautiful, and provides a decent challenge. Every Genephile owes it to themselves to play the series.
I've played Actraiser so many times I've lost count. The only level that gives me problems is the final action stage where you fight all the bosses. Besides that, the game is a cakewalk. A gorgeous, fun cakewalk.

I agree. I LOVE Actraiser...it's in my Top 10.
I never did play Actraiser 2. Although I hear its not as good as the first one.

Actraiser 2 stinks.
It's also harder in my opinion due to the weird glide mechanics.

13. *NEW* Road Rash Jailbreak - GBA (July 3)
I posted my thoughts on it in the Together Retro thread for this month. It has Mario Kart elements, nice graphics, smooth scaling, and characters, extra tracks, and modes to unlock. Not bad for a portable racing game. As you can see, from unsealing to playing, I finished it in an afternoon, but that's not a bad thing.

This is my first complete playthrough of the original Doom. I use to have the shareware version back in the day, but just never really got into it that much. As time went on I wanted to give it a playthrough, but upon trying it, the control scheme felt way too dated.
I played it through with my xbox controller and it played great. The first 3 episodes were really enjoyable but when I got to the forth one, the quality of the game dropped heaps! It just became boring maps with a lot of enemies and it seemed to start harder and get easier and the episode went on.
Still fun for a runaround and shoot everything fix today, but the last episode left it feeling cheap.

The fourth episode was not part of the original game, that's why it's sub-par. It feels like something out of Final Doom.
