I will be out there in a couple weeks to hang out with my brother and help out my wife with a seminar she's doing out there. Any good arcades (or game stores, I guess) out there? I'll be spending most of my time in Sacramento.
I lived out there for three years, but don't know what has changed since then.
UC Davis used to have a good one I remember...

I live right next to oakland and man it's desolate
The only places I can think of anything that have any actual arcade machines are a few pizza places and the student lounges at SF State and San Jose state
I know both the universities have SFIV though. They also have plenty of other fighters and light-gun games but not any really big arcade games.
If anything you should go to the Red Bull soapbox race in Sf tomorrow, I would but I've work
Well there is this game store I live by it's called the alameda game exchange and they have a backlog of a lot of stuff you could probably find some OLD things there maybe not Atari but they do have some huge backlots of games you might want to check it if it's worth the drive for you

it's a bit of a drive from Sacramento...but the Golfland in Milpitas is where I go when I feel like going to a decent arcade...there's also a miniature golf course there...
