no matter your stance on sampling, any hip hop fan needs to watch this streaming on Netflix:

One of my professors from grad school wrote and produced that book/film. Cool that you know about it. He's a smart/good dude.

Here's a few Macklemore songs I dig. I just bought tickets to see him, which was lucky because he sold out the Seattle Key Arena in 15 minutes.

Otherside (remix w/ Fences)- a song about drug use.
Starting Over- a song about getting sober more than once.
Wings- a song about consumerism and empty dreams.
White Privelege- the title says it all.
Penis Song- just goofin around.

Man, I've been out of the loop. I didn't know Eyedea passed on. That's sad. :(

Also, I had never heard that Big Lurch story. When you said he ate a lung, I thought that was some slang I didn't understand or something, but when I googled it, no, damn, he did some PCP and straight up ate somebody's lung. And her face too. Nasty!

I've never actually listened to an Eyedea song before. I mean I've heard them, but you know, I've never actually sat and listened to any of his music before.

Weird local hip hop story about that. The week before he died he wished another local rapper, that has the same birthday as him, a happy birthday. Dude thought it was weird since their birthday was in October I think. A week later Eyedea died and dude was pretty shook up about it.
