Oh yeah, The Longest Journey had all around pretty great voice acting and memorable characters. I think it's another one where most of the voice actors were just mostly random people rather than professional voice actors, like April Ryan for instance http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0358151/
My WTB thread (Sega CD/Saturn games)
Also looking to buy: Ys III (TG-16 CD), Shadowrun (Genesis) Hori N64 mini pad and Slayer (3DO) in long box/just the long box

WiC had a pretty good story-driven campaign rendered using the game's engine. Speaking of RTS games the C&C series always had awesome units grunts and noises.

Everyone in The Misadventures of Tron Bonne [and to a lesser extent, Megaman Legends]

I think I would have to say hands down for all the games I've played the Soul Reaver Series has to be the best voice acted and written trilogies I've played. I don't know if it was the actors or he almost poetic wrighting of the game but, I love it. Kinda makes me want to go look for it on youtube.
