Rock, Paper, Shotgun published an article today that is very interesting. Basically the gist is a man at Rezzed stopped an RPS journalist to ask about how PC gaming had developed in the last 15 years. So Jim Rossignol wrote a short article on the modern state of PC gaming for someone whose last PC game was Half-Life.

Interesting to note, it is a purely PC gaming perspective, so some of the information he provides is different from a console gaming perspective. And it's an extremely modern take, so some games that we now consider classics from a decade ago aren't mentioned: this is about how genres evolved, yes, but it's also about what is big right now.
So for those of you with an interest in PC gaming but no real idea what it's about or for those of you who haven't been into it for years, it's a good article to read.
