Oh yeah I knife killed 5 players out of 7 in a round of Counter Strike once. And two of them actually had time to turn around so I had to stab them in the front twice.
I think it's bound to happen sooner or later if you play a lot of CS but I've killed 2 or 3 times a person with a flashbang (and once with a smoke grenade if I recall correctly).

Some of my friends used to play CS with a guy named Sin who was absurdly good with a knife. There were rounds he would tell the squad to wait in the spawn, switch to his knife, and walk out, and then he would stab, slash, and slice every enemy on the opposing team. He was like the Predator.Menegrothx wrote:Oh yeah I knife killed 5 players out of 7 in a round of Counter Strike once. I once saw him toy with a guy by blinding him with a flashbang and then waiting until the victim's vision had recovered just enough to see Sin's knife as he stabbed him in the face. The guy screamed.
Re: Favorite video game accomplishments
My favourite, at least in recent years, was getting the achievement on Steam for completing all three arenas in the Borderlands Mad Moxxi DLC with a single character. That shit was HARD, and less than 1/2 a percent of people on Steam have done it. It's also the most pointless time in recent years that I've spent doing something in a video game.
My e-peen grew three sizes right now just thinking about it.
Edit: ...and my post count is 1337. Epic. EPIC!

If I remember correctly, according to the playtime counter in the game, it took me nearly 4 days to do thatWispmage wrote:Very impressive. I have so many fond memories of playing that and Future Perfect for hours on end.100% completed TimeSplitters 2.
Edit: BTW, I can't do it anymore! I sold my GC and all my games back in 2006. When I re-bought my GameCube and collection in 2010, I got TimeSplitters 2 again. I probably haven't even completed 15% of the game now
Own: Mega Drive, Saturn, Dreamcast, Playstation 1, Playstation 2, Playstation 3, Playstation 4, Playstation 5, PS Vita, Super Nintendo, Nintendo 64, Gamecube, Wii U, Game Boy Advance, DS, 3DS, Switch, Switch 2, Xbox, Xbox 360

Completed Demon's Souls with no deaths. I did it on a NG run and I know the game inside and out, but it was awesome. I got the idea by watching a video of someone else doing it and figured, "I could probably do that".

Re: Favorite video game accomplishments
I was obsessed over killing people with a knife when I played a lot of CS:S and DOD:S (well shovel in DOD:S case) before Modern Warfare 2 made knife killing a viable strategy. It never appealed to me when playing HL2:DM though, for some reason that electric stick they give you in that game (if you play Combine like I did) just doesn't feel the same. CS knife kills feel the best and hitting people to death with a shovel in DOD:S also has a nice feel to it - it feels more brutal and intense than melee kills in any other FPS games I've played.Ack wrote: Some of my friends used to play CS with a guy named Sin who was absurdly good with a knife. Re: Favorite video game accomplishments
I've probably forgotten a good 50% of my awesome accomplishments. I've been gaming a long time. Some of this stuff is things that I would NEVER do again. I'm older and have less patience
Tough accomplishments:
Beating The Adventures of Batman and Robin (Genesis)
S ranking every stage of Shinobi (PS2) on all difficulties
Finished Vice City 100%
Unlocked everything in Resident Evil 2 Dual Shock edition on PS1. That no save, no death, speed run through the game was a bitch. I HATE speed runnin
Beat all Master Thief sprints in Sly Cooper
Beat both Maximo games
Grand Master rank for every stage in Tenchu 1 and 2 on PS1
S ranked most stages of The Red Star on normal and EX difficulty, which means beating most stages with ZERO damage
Getting the achievement for beating the final boss in Alien Hominid with limited continues SOLO (Most players do it co op)
Maxing out everyone's stats in Final Fantasy X
Beating TMNT on the NES
Beating Full Throttle, Monkey Island 2, Curse of Monkey Island and Day of the Tentacle with NO guides or hints or anything
Beating MDK 2 on the Dreamcast
I unlocked everything in Resident Evil 4 on the Gamecube, beat all the shooting gallery mini games, and finished Pro difficulty with 100% accuracy and zero deaths
Though I never finished either run, I have gotten very far on Master Ninja difficulty in Ninja Gaiden and Ninja Gaiden 2 (original versions)
Got all equipment and beat all optional bosses in Final Fantasy XII, which takes a LOT of freaking patience AND luck.
Beat Final Fight 3 without my AI partner losing all its lives
Here's a few games I'm happy to have all achievements/trophies in. Not all of them were difficult to 100%, but I'm still proud just because they are games that I love
Final Fantasy X
The Dishwasher Vampire Smile
Lollipop Chainsaw
Batman Arkham Asylum
Viva Pinata
Peter Jackson's King Kong
Mark of the Ninja
And just a general thing, I'm fairly good at beating many beat 'em ups with zero deaths. A lot of the TMNT games are my bitch

Re: Favorite video game accomplishments
Literally 100 percent complete on Fallout 3. Took over 300 hours, but I did it. I did all main quests, side quests, unmarked quests, found all unique items, and discovered all locations without the explorer perk. That includes all DLC by the way.
Re: Favorite video game accomplishments
50 minute speedruns in Super Metroid.
Won a little Street Fighter II tournament my gaming class had in high school, got a Best Buy gift card. lol
All achievements in Megaman 9-10 (beat MM10 without getting hit).
Survived the Doom WAD's Hell Revealed 1-2 (think I did Hurt Me Plenty, haha). All achievements in Doom 1-2 too, beat them on Nightmare. Not a huge deal compared to most WAD's on HMP though.
Beat Ninja Gaiden (Xbox) on Very Hard and almost completed the second tournament. The online thing, it kills me this content is apparently not available anywhere again. It replaced the very first ninja enemies with the black ninjas, and the rest were cat enemies while most of the enemies in the entire game were completely replaced with new tough as balls opponents. It truly made the vanilla game on the highest difficulty look like a joke. I think for some bosses they just decided "Hey let's put two here". Epic.
Beat DMC4 on all difficulties.
Beat FEAR on Extreme (it was like 1 shot you were dead). Instant Action stages included.
Solo'd Halo and Reach on Legendary.
I BEAT Tactics Ogre (SNES version). Yes, I just beat it. That's a feat. FFT is Mystic Quest in comparison.
Other games that are just simply worth mentioning for completing: Blaster Master, Super Ghouls n Ghosts (true ending), Shinobi PS2, etc.
100% all Metroidvania CV's, Metroid, and Zelda games. 100%'d most JRPG's I played back on the PSX when I had all the time in the world.
100%'d Zelda Link to the Past with the Red, Blue, and Green Tunic. I thought it was a fun little challenge. So the tunics aside, I still got everything in these runs and at one point in time, my three saves were made up of these and that was awesome.
One of my all time favorites, ironically from one of the easiest JRPG's ever, was conquering Emerald (the underwater one) / Ruby weapon in FFVII WITHOUT Knights of the Round. I remember carefully planning out my every single move, did the gravity trick for 9999 x 4 damage when I could, had Fury on Cloud to get to Omnislash quicker, and yeah. Think I spent an entire night trying this one time as a kid so it was crazy, but I wonder if I can somehow relive the moment and see if it was really that hard haha. Why did I put myself up for a crazy fight? I said "no" to Chocobo mating and wanted to get KOTR and the Master/X Summon thing the real way, lol. I remember Ruby wasn't as hard, despite having more HP or something, you just had to fight the status effects and spam X-Potion/Elixers, etc.
Probably way more since I've always been up for the task with games I really love and replayed stuff a ton back in the day. I think I did like everything literally possible in MGS and MGS2, and yeah just so much more.
Now I kind of want to say "I'll get the Platinum" for Metal Gear Rising. Haha, haven't touched it yet, but something about that is tempting me to put myself to it.
