I was initially a bit disappointed to learn that this was the game RETRO were working on. DKCR was a really fun game with was also fairly challenging so this one should be pretty good too.

Port of... Mario 3D Land? Super Mario 3D World is not a port of the 3DS game. It's a brand new game.
I was joking. I know its not a port. But it sure as hell looks like one. Was expecting another installment in the 3DMario series. This doesnt count.
Wasn't Galaxy 2 just a 'port' of Galaxy 1 then?

As I posted before, I loved what Retro did to DK and I can't wait to play Tropical Freeze. That being said, I was actually really hoping the game they were secretly working on was another Metroid title(didn't think it would be, but a guy can dream right?).

I really enjoy playing DKCR I think its a real nice looking game with great feel and I love the fact that is quite difficult in places, especially if you are trying to collect everything.

Not at all. Galaxy 2 is a sequel. SM3DL on Wii U looks like it was moved from 3DS and changed around. Of course, I haven't played it yet, but that's what it looks like to me.

Yeah, I don't remember being able to play four players simultaneously, use a cat suit to climb up walls, or gathering coins in warp pipes by controlling my direction in Mario 3D Land ... I must have missed it.
