We've all seen and done a lot in our time as a gamer so:
Use this thread to brag about impressive things you've done in video games or just things you're proud of.
examples: catching all 150 original Pokemon, beating veni vidi vici, beating Ninja Gaiden etc.
Favorite video game accomplishments
Re: Favorite video game accomplishments
There's probably a few things that I have been proud of, but the one that immediately comes to mind is Castlevania. I remember the first time I beat the game without losing a life. I felt like I really did something special.

Re: Favorite video game accomplishments
From WoW
Getting over 2K arena rating back in Season 3 in Burning Crusade. Nothing huge, but back then it required some skills and I had many 30-45 minute long fights along the way.
Getting over 8K achievement points back when it was hard - I mostly lacked raid achievements (wasn't a raider) and the super grindy ones, but I soloed my way through, doing a lot of time consuming stuff like getting Hydraxian Waterlords exalted from neutral up.
I beat some very hard time trials&levels in Rayman Origins and Donkey Kong Country Returns but never 100%/200% finished those games.
I haven't really ever succeeded in competitive gaming on eSports level nor beaten super difficult games that don't have continues. I've played Bucky O Hare, Ultima and Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne from start to finish, but all of those have unlimited continues. Bucky is quite manageable when you learn what to do actually, not sure if it's any harder than 8-bit Mega Man games or Donkey Kong Country 2. I need to start practicing some Touhou and CAVE shooters and beat an oldschool turn based WRPG so I'll have something to brag about outside of WoW.

Re: Favorite video game accomplishments
Back in the 90s ... I was able to get the Dream Team ending in Chrono Trigger. I was really stoked. If I had a VCR at the time, I would have recorded it.
I also used to have a tendency to try to do "tricks" in games. Like, do actions x, y, z in quick succession to make this cool looking thing happen. I used to spend way to much time doing crap like that. That usually resulted in something I felt proud of accomplishing, but it's just so fleeting.

Re: Favorite video game accomplishments
There was one weekend a while back where I stayed up for 32 hours straight marathoning a lot of SNES games with friends. I was particularly proud of 100% completing Mega Man X2 in 4 hours. Ended up finishing it at 6 in the morning. Proceeded to 100% complete Mega Man X in 3 hours a few months later, and then X3 in about 6 hours more recently.

Re: Favorite video game accomplishments
Ive got plenty, but here are six of my favorite:
1. Took out a helicopter with a gas truck in Battlefield 1942 Desert Combat
2. Triple conc jumped in TFC
3. Conc juggled a heavy and killed him with a caltrop in TFC
4. Won a UT2k4 tournament with only using the translocator and shieldgun
5. Beat someone to death in Call of Duty United Offensive with the Binoculars (it says OWNED instead of killed in the upper left).
6. Three species disc kill in AvP Gold before the patch where they took out the super disc.

Re: Favorite video game accomplishments
I have played through a lot of notoriously difficult games (not as many as Luke, however, I'm not crazy!); so, I could probably list a few of these. That said, these two spring to mind:
In high school, I fell asleep on my controller playing through Super Metroid...I woke up early however and finished the game off in one marathon session.
I once had a LoZ cart that would no longer hold a save...I nonetheless played through both the first and second quest on it in a single day when I was home from college.
More recently, I completed Rayman Origins. Finally getting through the Land of the Livid Dead resulted in a quite a celebration. (That game is so great...and I was so sad to see it end.)
