A lot of car rentals specifically forbid going to other states so you'd better check that ahead of time. At least they do around here there where you can't reach another state on your lunch break.

I am very guilty of nodding my head yes when asked "Are you staying in State?".

We will actually be around Houston, not sure where the place is exactly. My wife has a friend she wants to meet up with in Louisiana, so yeah, I will check that out. Thanks for the heads up

I feel shame.
We are looking at Enterprise, since it is the only one near us other than Hertz. We want the smallest economy car possible, and my wife wants the insurance. We need it for a week and a two days, and Enterprise wants $260 before their insurance and $430ish with. So they want 30ish a day for it without and 50ish with. Which is still not bad, but it is almost double the price. The good thing about Enterprise is that it has no state or mileage restrictions - since we are going over 2500 miles. I have AAA but apparently cannot use it unless I register in store. I mean I am going to take the beating, I just dont have to like it.

Just bobbing my head to the in house music. Unless they ask me if I want insurance. Then I bob my chin from shoulder to shoulder.
So you go without?
The last time I rented a car was for work so I got them to put everything they could on it. I ended up with a Lincoln Town Car with everything. Hit speed bumps going 35 and didnt even feel them.
