The only intelligent thing Gingrich has ever done is figure out a way to make others think he's intelligentprfsnl_gmr wrote: I respect his intelligence.

Maybe. We'll have to wait and see. I associate him with the old guard in the Republican party though, and their views represent some things I'm glad to see die out.prfsnl_gmr wrote:He's not my favorite person, but I respect his intelligence. Well, that and managing to pass budget legislation through negotiation where both Democrats and Republicans felt good. That hasn't happened since the end of the Clinton era.dsheinem wrote:The only intelligent thing Gingrich has ever done is figure out a way to make others think he's intelligentprfsnl_gmr wrote: I respect his intelligence.

I think that he has made some horrible personal decisions - and I disagree with him on just about everything - but as far as I can tell, he is actually an intelligent person...It could be a lot worse; there is no shortage of complete morons and nutjobs they could have chosen for that position...dsheinem wrote:The only intelligent thing Gingrich has ever done is figure out a way to make others think he's intelligentprfsnl_gmr wrote: I respect his intelligence.

Look at this nonsense:

Not terrible, but yeah its bad. 2,4d will take care of it though.
Im a bit ticked about this renting a car nonsense. They rope you in with a low price, then double it with the insurance.

I suspect that your personal car insurance covers you while you are in a rental car; so, you may want to check your policy and (ideally and if you haven't left yet) bring a copy of your proof of insurance with you.fastbilly1 wrote:Not terrible, but yeah its bad. 2,4d will take care of it though.

It does, but the companies are known for dinging you for "issues" that may or not exist.prfsnl_gmr wrote:I suspec that your personal car insurance covers you while you are in a rental car; so, you may want to check your policy and (ideally and if you haven't left yet) bring a copy of your proof of insurance with you.fastbilly1 wrote:Not terrible, but yeah its bad. 2,4d will take care of it though.

TICKED - Apparently offering help to our compensation person means that I have to take an HR class on eavesdropping. Since we are in half wall cubes, its not like there is any privacy and everyone can hear everything. But since I offered to help him on something, I am the badguy. I told my boss that since he is not going to take these kinds of issues to me, a simple "sorry you cant help" would have been enough, the comp guy is dead to me and I will not recognize his existence. My boss did not think I could do this, but he does not realize that I am as hardheaded as I am.
Jokes on the comp guy though, IT just got an email about his personal computer under his desk and they are coming to talk to him about it right now. Oh and the company next door that has the open free wifi, they are banning all of his devices MAC addresses.

Smile: Contacts were so much less of a pain to get in today. My eyes also don't hurt nearly as much since I didn't spend like 40 minutes poking at them.
Still not sold on them however. They feel kinda weird and my close range is still worse than with glasses.
Frown: Not having money. It's also a good thing though. I was starting to eyeball some retro stuff on eBay. NOT AGAIN!

Older. Not wiser.

Well... shit. What prices are you looking at? I was planning on doing a car rental when helping to move my brother to Texas.fastbilly1 wrote:Im a bit ticked about this renting a car nonsense. They rope you in with a low price, then double it with the insurance.
